1. Acceptance of these Terms
By registering, funding a wallet or using ZapVTU, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Do not use the platform if you do not agree.
2. Eligibility
You must have legal capacity to enter into this agreement and provide accurate registration information. Where a minor is lawfully permitted to use the service, a parent or guardian must provide appropriate supervision and consent.
3. Account responsibilities
- Provide accurate and current account information.
- Keep your password, device and login session secure.
- Do not share, sell or transfer your account.
- Notify support promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
- You are responsible for activities performed through your account unless caused by a proven platform error.
4. ZapVTU services
ZapVTU may provide airtime, data bundles, electricity tokens, cable-TV payments, education or examination PINs, wallet funding and other digital services. Availability, pricing, limits and delivery times may differ by network, provider or service.
ZapVTU may use third-party telecom, payment and bill-service providers to fulfil transactions.
5. Wallet funding and payments
- Wallet balances may be funded through supported payment channels.
- You must use payment methods you are authorised to use.
- Payment-provider charges, bank charges or statutory fees may apply and will be shown where available.
- A wallet balance is for purchasing services on ZapVTU and is not a bank deposit or interest-bearing account.
- We may review, reverse or restrict suspicious, duplicated, disputed or unauthorised funding.
6. Transaction instructions and delivery
You are responsible for checking the network, phone number, meter number, smart-card number, plan and amount before confirming a transaction. Digital products may be delivered immediately and may not be recoverable after successful delivery to the details you supplied.
A “pending” or “processing” status does not necessarily mean failure. Do not repeat the same purchase until the original transaction has been reconciled.
7. Failed transactions and refunds
Where a transaction is confirmed as failed and your wallet was debited, ZapVTU will ordinarily restore the affected amount to your wallet after reconciliation. Processing time may depend on the upstream provider.
Completed digital transactions generally cannot be cancelled or refunded merely because incorrect recipient details were entered by the user. This does not limit any refund or remedy required by applicable law.
8. Prohibited use
You must not use ZapVTU for fraud, money laundering, stolen payment methods, unauthorised access, account resale, automated abuse, manipulation of pricing or wallet balances, interference with security, or any unlawful activity. You must not upload malicious code or attempt to access another user’s information.
9. Availability and changes
Networks, banks and external providers may experience maintenance, delay or downtime. We may pause a service, change a provider, update limits or modify features to protect users, maintain reliability or comply with law. We will aim to communicate material downtime where reasonably possible.
10. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, ZapVTU is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by incorrect user instructions, unauthorised disclosure of login credentials, or outages and failures outside our reasonable control.
Where ZapVTU is responsible for an incorrect debit or failed service, the usual remedy is correction, reprocessing where safe, or restoration of the affected transaction amount.
11. Suspension and termination
We may temporarily restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, secure an account, comply with law, address abuse, recover an erroneous credit or protect the platform. You may ask support to close your account, subject to unresolved transactions, disputes and lawful record-retention obligations.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Please contact ZapVTU support first so we can attempt to resolve a complaint promptly. Nothing in these Terms removes any consumer right or regulatory remedy available under Nigerian law.
13. Contact
Contact support with your username and transaction reference. Never send your password or OTP.
